The Blue Paw Trust, an animal welfare organization, hosted the country’s first-ever dog show for cross - breeds on September 28th at the Viharamaha Devi Park, Colombo. No purebreds allowed, only the dadoriyas :D
This was hosted to mark World Rabies Day and there were also special information stalls on prevention of rabies. Some of the fun competitions were : ‘Best Coat’, ‘Longest Tongue’, ‘Nicest Eyes’, ‘Cutest Tail’, ‘Shiniest Teeth’, ‘Best Behaved’, ‘Most Cuddly’ and ‘Drama Queen’.

Went to the show at around 11.00am and the contests had already started. I was really impressed to see that quite a crowd had turned up. The contests were really great !! Really good to see that shows like this are held as most Sri Lankans treat animals very stupidly ..... At least some good will come of the show.
