When you say " Powudgalika weidya widyala athhitawanu":
Does it mean your all for the posh rich buggers ONLY getting their degrees from overseas universities?
Or
Are you against the middle class earners being able to get some sort of education for their children?
Or
Is it because you think that only the very intelligent should be able to become doctors?

What a lot of CRAP. People who think this should be shot. I'm above average but I couldn't get into uni. so i had to spend. I'm one of the lucky ones.
Likewise thank god for places liek Vidura college, since I teach part time I know the standard of english those paudgalika vidyala produce. its great! And most of the kids are middle class.
Powudgalika weidya widyala athhitawanu pls translate?
DC : u teach part time?? thts greeaat!! :]
santhoshi : it means "ban/stop private medical colleges/universities/institutes"
there is just no logic in banning privatization, as everything is being privatized gradually, as the state just cannot cope with the need, it is just an extension of private schools. People are already exercising their rights and takes the pressures off the state having to increase capacity to meet demand. No one can stop this juggernaut that has been unleashed, dont even try
I went to a state uni but I'm ok with private universities.. Reason being of course that very rich people will anyway send their children abroad and its the middle class that suffer from lack of private unis. That said, I do think there are legitimate reasons for being against - but I also feel that pros outweigh the cons.
